fresh inspiration...

Psalm 17

Hear a just cause Lord, heed my cry;

 Lend your ear to my prayer for my lips cannot lie.

May your presense bring about my vindication;

Avert your holy eyes from all abomination.

You have tested my heart, you have tried me in the night;

You have found nothing for I have trained my mouth and tamed its bite.

As for the ways of me, by the word of your lips;

I have kept away from sin, and the destroyer's finger-tips.

Uphold my steps in your holy ways,

That I may not slip and plunge from your gaze.

I have called upon you God, my voice within your reach,

Incline your ear towards me, father, and hear my speech.

Show your marvelous love by your right hand this day,

For you save the trusting and hold their enemies at bay.

Kep me forever as the apple of your eye,

And hide me in the shaddow of your wings when I cry.

Keep me from the wicked who exploit and oppress,

And from my enemies who surround me and distress.

They have blocked themselves off and closed up their fat hearts,

They produce proud words from their foul mouth art.

They have surrounded us here, where we stand,

And have set their eyes down to the earth's dirt and sand.

Like a young lion eager to tear his prey,

They lie waiting in secret places, longing for the day.

Rise up oh Lord, confront him and cast him down,

Save me with your sword from the wicked all around.

Men of the world with bellies full of treasure, are satisfied with their children,

In this life they recieve their portion of pleasure, and to their babies pass on thier possessions.

As for me, I will see your righteous face in brightness,

And shall be satisfied to awake in your holy likeness.

Just back from Jordan, twas a cool trip i must say. rode a camel for like 6 hours and met alot of cool people. Aqaba is bigger than it seems from Eilat...and the argilla is just as good over there.

When you double speak the blame pass is latteral, sick rhetoric when the damage is collateral. I see firing squads everywhere, paranoia, but I got the 3rd of May, arms spread look like Goya. Wild eyed cause they lied, so sing and follow me, cause I got the rhymes to make corrporate knees wobbly. They robbin' me, but Im gonna straight rob'em back, camoflauge sabotage, just like a black cat, with an arched back, they kill but cant slay, when my ill rhymes put me on trial like Joseph K.

Listen when Im spittin' from up on this soapbox, cause Im givin' more gold than they got at Ft. Knox, I skip trough the roadblocks cause I dont got the papers, disappoint the checkpoint with mundane capers. I could bulldoze all my foes with my prose, or scream in a rhyme scheme to curl up your toes. No telling what I might do, make you run the gauntlet, bite you with a hiku or shakesperean sonnet, I invite you, to pick your own poison like hemlock, straight out the freezer fresh, ziplock hip hop.

Psalm 11

I put the trust of my soul in the Lord, what can you say, "run and hide in the mountains from the predator like prey"?

Look as the wicked make ready thier bows, fitting strings to secretly shoot the upright with arrows.

The righteous depend on a steady foundation, but if it is destroyed, where can they find salvation?

The Lord sits in his holy temple in heaven, where he sees all, his eyelids test the sons of men.

The Lord tests the righteous and not one escapes, but the wicked and the violent his very soul hates.

Upon the wicked he shall rain down burning winds and coals, fire and brimstone shall fill up their bowls.

The Lord is righteous and in righteousness delights, and he holds forever the upright in his sight.
